Position Title: Executive Assistant & Community Relations Coordinator

Reports To: Head of Business Development, Head of School, Associate Director of Development

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Hours for the Position: Full Time (in office)

The Plan: 

Rivertree Academy Lake Como is an Elementary Day School in Como - an under resourced community in Fort Worth, Texas. Pre-K through 5th grade students will be accepted into this program. 

BASIC FUNCTION: Community Engagement Coordinator (Development) - 75%

Duty / Responsibility (List of primary duties performed)

  • Work closely with the school staff to identify a variety of volunteer opportunities based on the

    school’s needs

  • Research and attend events in the community to recruit a diverse range of volunteers

  • Provide clear and timely communication to all volunteers regarding onboarding and training; schedules and assignments; school updates and opportunities, etc

  • Conduct regular check-ins with volunteers and staff to evaluate volunteer program

  • Develop and maintain a volunteer database; including individuals, corporations, special interest groups/organizations, local schools and churches

  • Work closely with the Development team to highlight impact stories for social media, newsletters, reports, etc

  • Plan and organize events to enhance community involvement; including but not limited to Joe T’s Toy Drive, Serve Saturdays, Lake Como 4 th of July parade, Rivertree In Operation (RIO)

  • Other duties, as assigned

BASIC FUNCTION: Executive Assistant (Executive Leadership) - 25%

Duty / Responsibility (List of primary duties performed)

  • Manage the Head of School’s calendar, appointments and daily schedule

  • Prepare materials and coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings

  • Support Head of School and Leadership Team with administrative duties as needed

  • Manage communication and calendars for the Board of Directors

  • Schedule and organize Board meetings and maintain proper documentation

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum work experience and education required or equivalent combination):

  • 1-2 years of experience in program management (preferred)

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role (preferred)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Able to maintain focus and excellence in an open and energetic work environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly competent in use of technology, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications. Experience with online database, preferred
