Position Title: After-School Teacher
Reports To: After-School Coordinator
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Hours of Employment: 3:00pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday (August-May)

The Plan:
• Rivertree Academy Lake Como is an Elementary Day School in Como - an under resourced community in Fort Worth, Texas. Pre-K through 5th grade students will be accepted into this accredited program.
Job Summary:
The Afterschool Teacher at Rivertree Academy will provide biblically-based, inspiring instruction that establishes a joyful learning environment, maximizes individual student achievement, and engages children to help them develop cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically, morally, and spiritually.
EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE, ESSENTIAL DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but other duties may be assigned. To work at Rivertree and maintain a manageable stress load, an individual must be flexible, teachable, and humble. The qualities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required for our faculty/staff:
EXPECTED SKILLS:
● Be excited to share a passion for learning and assist children and their families.
● Deliver the highest quality educational support in reading, mathematics, writing, and other content areas in a small group environment.
● Support students with high accuracy homework completion.
● Facilitate academic enrichment activities in a small group environment.
● Support students with habits demonstrating Christ-like character and behaviors.
● Adhere to all school requirements regarding use of building facilities.
● Participate in parent conferences if needed.
● Assure that after school snacks are properly administered and associated documentation is accurately provided
● Perform the duties and responsibilities of a program staff as needed.
EXPERIENCE:
● The ideal candidate will have knowledge of reading and mathematics at an elementary school level.
